ABOUT DESIGNER: Bruce Roberts-Goodson:
 Born in Victoria Australia Bruce attended Eltham High School & then studied yacht design through the US based Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology. Bruce entered the marine industry and for several years operated a boat yard in Brisbane where he completed a five year informal boatbuilding apprenticeship.

In 1966  In Brisbane Australia ... Bruce founded BRUCE ROBERTS CUSTOM YACHTS in partnership with Andrew Slorach ... Andy is still involved in the business SEE AUSTRALIAN WEB SITE.

In 1972 Bruce opened his US design office. Bruce has since designed a huge range of sail and powerboats that have been built in fiberglass, steel, aluminum and wood epoxy.

In 1972 - 2009 - Today  Bruce opened additional design offices ... Recent projects include a 75ft R/C charter schooner, Voyager 450 R/C steel sailboat (pre-cut steel), Euro 20 m / Waverunner 65 (pre-cut steel ), Trawler 485, Trawler 520, 65 ft wood / epoxy sailboat especially for wheel-chair bound sailor As you can imagine Bruce does not do it all alone and we are pleased to announce that we have added additional Naval Architects to our growing staff.

WARNING: Certain outfits claiming to represent BRUCE ROBERTS PLANS are selling old copies and pirated plans often obtained from E-BAY and then copied - these are out of date plans and if you build from one of these plans you will have an inferior and often unsalable boat.  If Bruce's photo is not on the web site or if you cannot get an answer from Bruce himself ... as they say ... 'Run, don't walk away'! If they do not have the original AutoCAD files then they are selling outdated plans.

OUT OF DATE boat plans: The following boat plans have been replaced by new designs the boat plans below are OUT OF DATE & NO LONGER OFFERED FOR SALE BY DESIGNER.

Also not supported and are in fact BLACK-LISTED are Dolphin boats that are blatant copies of boat plans originally designed by Bruce Roberts-Goodson. All Bruce Roberts designs built by Fortuna Yachts in South Africa are crude copies of Bruce Roberts designs and are therefore BLACK-LISTED by us.  If you are offered these or other  OUTDATED & or incomplete boat plans ... Please do NOT waste your money !  If you OWN one of these boats we will be happy to offer you advice but do not consider building one from outdated boat plans ... there are more up to date designs available at this time.

Dear Mr Roberts,  I recently purchased study boat plans on DOWNLOAD or on USB
- from you, thank you as I am very very happy with your prompt service and the detailed information on your DOWNLOAD.  I have spent countless hours on the internet looking at boat building sites and purchasing study boat plans etc, in the course of my studies I on many occasions stumbled across this web site   http://www.boat plans4boats.com/  NOW trading as http://www.myboatboat plans.com/

At first ... I never ordered anything from them as I just don't like the "look" of the site. Anyway I eventually weakened and purchased their so called 200 + boat plans and blue prints. The only way you can get a true glimpse of what they supply is by buying the product.
 
These people are scammers! their boat plans are scans from old magazines AND one zip file is your free e-book on "How to build a sail boat" which came on your DOWNLOAD of study boat plans with the Spray series of vessels that I purchased. I tried to attach this file for you to look at but it is 10MB and won't attach.  This is the first site I have come across in the boating community that are, I think, ripping people off as the information supplied from them I already have seen and DOWNLOAD or on USB

. . .ed from other free boat plan sites (Zip file on fishing boats for another example). The information of yours that they sell technically wasn't free and only supplied when your study boat plans are purchased.
 
They to me are breaching copyright and are making money under false pretenses. I hope I am not wasting your time with this email but I am sure you would like to know of these people who are clearly re selling yours and others material without prior consent.  Best regards,  Edward Shiels.
